Vintage Gown

Using vintage, 1855 silk tafetta (dated by the Victoia and Albert Museum); the bride asked me to work on a design that would compliment the intricate hand-embroidered wheatsheaf design. The result was a panelled gown with twin hand-pearled shoulder straps,bodice panels cut optimising the embroidery design, with silk covered buttons on the back.
