Design & Process

From vision to final fitting

Julia understands that every bride has their own unique and personal vision for a perfect wedding dress and through an involved and intimate design process Julia will design your dream dress. The result will be a dress skilfully cut, exquisite in detail and beautifully hand finished.

Consultation

The first stage will be an informal consultation to discuss your wedding dress, access your figure and guide you through suitable styles that will enhance your personal look. Julia will explore the design possibilities by sketching designs incorporating your ideas with her own singular creative style. Most designs will include a made to measure corset that ensures your dress fits you perfectly making you look – and feel – amazing.

Julia has an exquisite sample collection of gowns, giving you the opportunity to try on the various styles to visualise the overall look of your dress. In determining the finishing touches of your dress; fabrics, colours and beading options are discussed, a sketch is drawn to confirm the design of your wedding dress.

A written estimate is sent to you for your consideration, outlining the details discussed during your consultation. To secure your order, a £100 deposit will be required, redemable against the full agreed price of your dress, allowing further research into fabrics, colours, beading designs, etc.

A further meeting will be required to confirm the finer details of your design,  and take measurements.

The process

The first pattens will then be made to your exact measurements, the first two fittings will be in a calico toile to determine the fit , design and the overall styling of your dress for your consideration and satisfaction. . From this point your dress will then be cut in the show fabric.  A minimum of 4 fittings are required to ensure perfection at every stage.
